This detached house with private swimming pool is close to Iznájar in the province of Córdoba. Holiday home Los Almendros gets her name from the almond trees that are in the surroundings of the house, which bloom in April and May.

This house is very suitable for a family holiday with its 4 bedrooms, 3 of which have an en-suite bathroom. 1 of the 4 bathrooms has a bath and shower, the others only have a shower. 2 bedrooms feature a balcony with stunning views of the hills. All bedrooms are located upstairs, are fully furnished and equipped with AC and/or ceiling fan. All bedrooms are equipped with a double bed, and on 1 of the bedrooms an extra sleeping place can be created. Relax with an English book from the fully-stocked library, and take place on a luxurious lounger next to the pool. At the swimming pool you’ll find an honesty-bar stocked with drinks and snacks that you can grab yourself.

The living room is equipped with a pellet stove and cosy seating area. The stylish kitchen is fully furnished with a 6-burner gas stove, frying pan, toaster, oven, microwave, and big refrigerator. In this kitchen the Dutch owner can prepare lunches, snacks and drinks upon request. The owner lives in a private apartment within the holiday home. The exceptionally hospitable owner, who speaks English and Dutch fluently, can offer extra services upon request and for an additional fee. Examples are: welcome package, fully stocked refrigerator upon arrival, fully catered lunches or dinners, and more.

Admire the breath-taking sunset from the grounds, or finca as they call it in Spanish. Next to the holiday home there is a big grass court for our four-legged friends, who are more than welcome in Los Almendros. The 2 dogs from the owner already enjoy the Spanish environment to the fullest.

Surroundings of holiday home Los Almendros

Iznájar, a 20 minute drive, is a characteristic Andalusian village with steep, narrow streets with orange trees, parks, terraces, and white-washed houses. The village seems to rise from the large reservoir. An Arabic castle at the top gives you a great view over the 32 km long lake of Iznájar, popular for water sports activities. Sierra Subbética Park, a half hour away, is 159.190 ha large. The picturesque villages in the area are heart-warming with their historic, artistic and archaeological sites.

The gastronomy and traditional farmers products like the well-know Spanish tapas, and ‘Oro Liquido’ (Extra Virgin Olive Oil), are absolutely worth mentioning here. Picturesque Priego de Córdoba in the heart of the nature park is worth a visit, if only for the trip and fantastic view along the way. Granada and Málaga are within 1 hour by car. Cordoba is at a distance of 1 hour by car. Nearest village is Archidona, a white village built against a mountain, with a beautiful church on top.

The seating area, the large 8-person dining table, and library are located on the ground floor. The open staircase leads up to the bedrooms and bathrooms which are all on the first floor. The house has several outdoor seating and dining areas. A shaded terrace with fixed barbecue and dining area for 6 people is located next to the house. Adjacent to the living room is a covered terrace with a seating area for a delicious cup of morning coffee. To get to the private swimming pool with honesty bar and luxury sun loungers, you have to walk down a few small steps.
