The walking route consists of wooden planks that hang cantilevered over the wall of the gorge. The total walk has a distance of approximately 850 meters (round trip) from the wooden reception cabin. The entire complex defies the void from a maximum height of 60 meters until it gradually approaches only 20 meters from the riverbed. Strangely enough, it is more exciting at a height of 20 meters than from 60 meters. For the real daredevils, there has recently also been installed a viewpoint with a glass floor; we skipped this one!<\/p>\n<h4>Great historical value<\/h4>\n<p>Discover the Relleu Reservoir, a 17th century construction in a beautiful setting rarely found by visitors until now. The attraction includes a lime kiln, streams, irrigation ditches and even old irrigation ponds.<\/p>\n<p>The footbridge is halfway along the route. This can only be reached on foot. La Pasarela de Relleu is one of the best preserved treasures of the city, a unique construction located in a beautiful natural environment of great beauty, and of ecological value is the 17th century reservoir. Part of the route follows an old bridleway that has been restored from oblivion: the Cam\u00ed de les Ripalmes or Cam\u00ed del Fasamais. This pasarela is Alicante&#8217;s answer to Malaga&#8217;s Caminito del Rey.<\/p>\n<h4>Opening hours<\/h4>\n<p>The opening and closing times of the walkway are as follows: Monday to Sunday from 10am to 5pm (last entrance at 4.30pm). These times may vary slightly depending on the time of year and\/or holidays. Only 20 people are allowed per time slot. So it is never too busy, and <a href=\"http:\/\/pasareladerelleu.es\/compra1.php?lang=1&amp;opc=6\">advance reservations<\/a> are a must. Don&#8217;t forget to bring a bottle of water, especially in the summer it can get very hot here. Oh, and this hike is not for those afraid of heights.<\/p>\n<p>If you are staying nearby, come to <a href=\"https:\/\/taha.nl\/en\/holiday-homes\/spain\/alicante-valencia-en\/alicante-en\/relleu-en\/finca-orxeta\/\">Finca Orxeta<\/a>; a wonderful place to come home to after an exciting walk.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La Pasarela de Relleu includes a pedestrian bridge over the dam.
