Cortijo Melonar is situated on a terraced plot of almost 7000 m2. Cortijo Melonar is ideal for those seeking tranquility.<\/strong> Hikes directly done from the holiday home. The English owners have converted the former ruin into 2 special holiday homes: Vista and Patio. Each holiday home has its own private terrace with shade and sun.<\/p>\n

The large grounds with a beautiful flower garden and pond<\/strong> offer wonderful places to relax in a hammock or lounger. Cortijo Melonar combines modern comfort with traditions of the Andalusian architectural style such as: flat roof, beamed ceiling, beautiful tiled floors. Your holiday home has a nice bathroom, complete kitchen<\/strong>, underfloor heating<\/strong> and a wood burner. Cortijo Melonar is also a comfortable holiday home in winter. The hospitable owners can give you all the information you need about the area. They are very friendly hosts who respect your privacy. If you want some action in this holiday paradise, you can help maintain the vegetable garden or other parts of the grounds.<\/p>\n

Patio: this holiday apartment is the middle part of the cortijo. From the living room patio doors give access to a lovely patio full of plants<\/strong> and sun during the afternoons. Patio also has its own terrace<\/strong> in the garden with beautiful views.<\/p>\n

The GR 7, a long-distance hiking trail, runs nearby. This path will take you to Pitres<\/strong> in 20 minutes. To the opposite direction you enter the valley. This route leads you through a beautiful landscape and the typical villages of the Alpujarras<\/strong>. Pitres<\/strong> is 5 minutes by car, here you will find shops, bars and restaurants.<\/strong> The owners have also mapped out several walking routes themselves, which they are happy to share with you.<\/p>\n

Layout Cortijo Melonar – Patio<\/strong><\/h2>\n

All on one floor: living room, with French doors near the woodburner. Well equipped open kitchen with dining table. Bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. Spacious bedroom with double bed, this bedroom is carved out of the rock wall and therefore always nice and cool in the summer. The patio with seating area is the ideal place for reading a good book!<\/p>\n

Tip from La Taha<\/strong><\/h2>\n

This is the ideal holiday home for hikers and nature lovers, especially in April, May, September and October. Reserve a meal with the owners for a fee; William is a gifted chef!<\/p>\n
