Ca l’Helena

Once an old barn but now a modern village house. Ca l’Helena is located on the edge of the village of Castellet. Famous for its castle which is definitely worth a visit. The house is bright and spacious and each bedroom has its own bathroom. The kitchen is the center of the house and there is enough space to conjure up an extensive meal with different ‘cooks’. In the summer you can of course dine outside in the walled garden. The nearby area has a lot to offer: a trip to one of the many wineries, the beach, cycling and walking opportunities, not to mention a visit to Barcelona. The village is very small and quiet. In summer the restaurant is open and there is also a shop where you can buy the local wine. For shopping you can go to Vilafranca del Penedés.

Surroundings of Ca l’Helena

Vilafranca del Penedés is a fifteen minute drive from the house. Here are many good restaurants, nice shops and a beautiful village square. The town of Sitges is located by the sea and can be reached in 25 minutes. Barcelona 50 minutes and Tarragona 35 minutes. From Vilafranca del Penedés you can take the train to Barcelona. In the vicinity of this holiday home you will also find many bodegas (wineries).

Ground floor: After entering through the front door, you find yourself in a large, open space with an open staircase leading up to you right in front of you. Here is also the open kitchen and living room. There is a separate dining area with a large dining table. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor. At the back of the bright house is the garden with swimming pool and covered dining area. The garden is completely walled, so you can enjoy the beautiful weather in complete privacy.
First floor: Upstairs you will find 4 bedrooms, each with its own bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. 2 bedrooms with a double bed (160 x 200) and 2 bedrooms with two single beds (90 x 200). All bedrooms of this holiday home have ample closet space.

Tip from La Taha

In the kitchen of Ca l’Helena you will find a book with old and new family recipes. The owners cordially invite you to spend an evening preparing one of the local recipes. They also like to see you leave your favorite recipe in the book. As the owner himself says: “…because we see the kitchen and everything around it as an opportunity to share, we’ve created a recipe book where we offer our best recipes and invite everyone to share theirs with us… ”

• Nearest airport is Barcelona (BCN) 45 minutes drive.
• You can rent an all-inclusive car through here.
• Parking is available at a nearby public car park. You can come to the house by car to unload the suitcases.
