Trigueros
Trigueros is a modest provincial town with about 7,000 inhabitants. People who made their living from agriculture lived here as early as the 13th century. Its southern border is on the Rio Tinto River, between San Juan del Puerto and Moguer, which allowed people to export agricultural products, as early as between the 12th and 14th centuries.
The northern end appears to be marked by the waters of the Odiel and by the areas of Alosno and Calañas and although there is no evidence of its navigability, it is believed to have been another route open to the Atlantic Ocean. Trigueros is located just 19 kilometers from the capital of the province of Huelva of the same name.
