Surrounded by nature, between vineyards and yet within walking distance of the town of Riudebitlles; Finca la Bodega. Ideal for lovers of culture and nature and of course certainly for lovers of a good glass of wine. The owners live next door and are proud of their vineyard. The wines produced here are served at a 3 micheline star restaurant.
Description of this holiday home on a vineyard; Finca la Bodega
The house is part of a Medieval Finca and the friendly owners live next door. There is a large garden around the house where there is also the swimming pool. The interior is a nice mix of modern and antique. There are 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. In Riudebitlles, which you can walk to from the house, there are several good restaurants where the daily menus are cheap and very tasty. The Penedès area has long been associated with progressive vineyards and wineries of which this vineyard is an important part. The owners are happy to show you the bodega where you can also taste and buy some wines. Do not forget to take a few bottles home with you because in the Netherlands and Belgium the wine from this vineyard is considerably more expensive.
Surroundings Finca la Bodega
Barcelona is 35 km away, and is also easy to reach by train. Beaches (Villanova 20 km. and Sitges 35 km.) can be reached within 30 minutes. In Vilafranca del Penedes (15 min.) is a wine museum and a nice market on Saturdays. Girona can be reached in about an hour. You can reach Riudebitlles in a few minutes by car. A visit to nearby Montserrat is also well worth your time.
Layout of this special holiday home
Small living room and kitchen. Three bedrooms, 1 with a single bed, 1 with a double bed and 1 with 2 single beds. One bedroom has an attached private bathroom. Second bathroom with shower and toilet is shared. There is a lot of space around the house and you have your own terrace, and of course a lovely swimming pool. Do not expect luxury when you stay in Finca la Bodega, what you can expect: an extremely romantic atmosphere, very complete furnishings (the kitchen has absolutely everything you might need) and plenty of rest!
Tip from La Taha
Take a tour of the vineyard where you are staying, and don’t forget to take home a few bottles of this delicious wine. Even 3* Michelin restaurant De Librije offers one of the wines from this vineyard. Also worth a visit is the nearby winery Cordoniu, especially the cava Anna from this house is very tasty. Cheers!
For good food we drove to restaurant El Center in El Pla del Penedès, about 15 minutes drive from the holiday home. This restaurant in a narrow street of a sleepy village will surprise you. The establishment is run by women, has several wines from Finca La Bodega on the menu, and has a progressive menu with only tasty dishes; well worth it!
Remarks
– The swimming pool is open from June 1 to September 15.
– Off season many restaurants in the village are closed.
– Please note that you will be staying on a working vineyard.
– The nearest airport is Barcelona (BCN) at 45 minutes, or Reus in less than an hour. Girona (GRO) is 1.5 hours away.

Allemaal heel mooi en gezellig.
Het huis was volledig ingericht, zelfs met boeken, cd’s maar ook alle (luxe) accessoires zoals schalen, vazen, kandelaars etc. etc. Wij hadden een uitstekend kontakt met de huiseigenaar. Ook de bodega was voor ons een plezierige aanvulling op onze vakantiebeleving.
Huis was authentiek.
De ontvangst was vriendelijk en we kregen een duidelijke rondleiding van de zuster van de eigenaresse. Het huis zelf was authentiek en precies zoals we verwacht hadden, conform foto’s van de site. We mistten alleen wel een lekkere/beschutte zitplek buiten.
Leuk huis met heel veel buitenruimte.
Wij hadden van tevoren aangegeven hoe laat we ongeveer zouden arriveren, en de eigenaar stond al klaar om ons een rondleiding door het huis te geven. Goede ontvangst door vriendelijke eigenaren. De buitenruimte was vooral heel fijn.
Prachtig oud huis
Grenzend aan het huis van de bewoners. Heerlijk tussen de wijnvelden. Fijn dat er een zwembad bij was. Eigenaren hele fijne mensen. Zeker niet te veel aanwezig, lieten ons enorm vrij. Als wij ze nodig hadden waren ze er meteen. Een aanrader is de rondleiding door de wijnkelder en vooral ook de wijnen zelf…;.zeer lekker. Ligging is dichtbij Barcelona en enorm goed te doen met de trein.
