Description of this special holiday home in Andalusia
The owners of the cortijo live quite a distance from the holiday home, in the main house. They ensure that you lack nothing and you can always contact them for advice. You can take long hikes in the immediate vicinity. The long distance route Gr 7 passes close by. The owners can point you to the most beautiful routes and also provide maps and guides. If you want the ultimate holiday feeling, order a meal from the hosts. In consultation with you, they will put a meal on the table that you will not forget and that you can enjoy at the yurt.
The yurt is also rented out in the colder periods of the year. There is a Norwegian wood stove that provides sufficient heat. The yurt is made of chestnut wood from the Alpujarras and the upholstery is a combination of canvas and wool. This ensures coolness in the summer and keeps the heat inside in the winter. Inside you have plenty of space. At the highest point it is 2.70 meters high and has an area of 19 square meters. Enough space for the large double bed and a comfortable lounge area by the wood stove. The door with a window and two additional windows allow light to enter.
Next to the yurt is the covered open kitchen where everything is available to prepare a meal. The bathroom and toilet are also located in the same ‘shed’. Hot water in the kitchen and bathroom is obtained through solar panels. The light in the bathroom, kitchen and in the tent works via an ingenious solar energy system. The stove and refrigerator are gas, but you can choose to use this, or opt for a solar-powered stove that owners can place for you. So you can choose how big you want the ‘eco experience‘ to be.

• From Pitres it is about 1 hour and 45 minutes drive to the airport of Almeria (LEI). • Granada (GRX) is 1.5 hours away and Malaga (AGP) is 2.5 hours away.
• Wifi is available at the main house.
• If you wish, the owners will cook a delicious meal for you which can be served at the yurt. To celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy it after a long walk.
