Alicante

The various nature parks and mountain ranges in the region of Alicante offer the nature lover and action seeker plenty of walking, cycling and climbing opportunities. The mountain ranges of Aitana and Puig Campana in Alicante have peaks of up to 1500 meters, and the region around Sella is especially famous for its extensive climbing possibilities. In the green Valle de Gallinera and Valle de Laguar there are still stone terraces built by Moors on the mountain slopes.

The region is an excellent destination for active travelers. Hiking and cycling routes have been set out in many nature parks, and you can go mountain climbing. Along the way you can enjoy beautiful nature and pass monasteries, castles and orange groves. The beaches and seaside resorts offer water sports enthusiasts every opportunity.

The city of Alicante has a relatively small but beautiful and cozy old center. Wonderful to wander through, and enjoy a cool glass of wine on one of the many terraces. The castle is a complex of buildings and defensive walls and towers on a hill high above the city.
