Cortijo Melonar Vista is located in the middle of the beautiful nature of the Alpujarras. The renovated farmhouse is completely free standing, in an ancient terraced landscape not far from the village of Pitres. All around you have great views of the valley and mountains. Cortijo Melonar is situated on a terraced plot of almost 7000 m2. Cortijo Melonar is ideal for those seeking tranquility. Hikes directly done from the holiday home. The English owners have converted the former ruin into 2 special holiday homes: Vista and Patio. Each holiday home has its own private terrace with shade and sun. The large grounds offer wonderful places to relax in a hammock or lounger.
The large garden is lovingly cared for by the owners and it shows. Cortijo Melonar combines modern comfort with traditions of the Andalusian architectural style such as: flat roof, beamed ceiling, beautiful tiled floors. Your holiday accommodation has a private bathroom, cozy kitchen, underfloor heating and a wood burner. Cortijo Melonar is also a comfortable holiday home in winter. Your very friendly hosts can give you all the information about the area, yet they will respect your privacy. If you want some action in this holiday paradise, you can help maintain the vegetable garden or other parts of the grounds.
Vista: this part of the cortijo is the front of Cortijo Melonar. Vista has a large covered terrace over the full width of the holiday home, with great views. This is a lovely spot to dine outside. The owners have put together various walking routes themselves and are happy to share this information with their guests.
This is the ultimate place to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and, armed with a good book, find a place in the large, beautiful flower garden.
Layout of this Holiday home
All on one floor: spacious living room with a wood-burner. Well equipped open kitchen with dining table. Bathroom with shower, toilet and washbasin. Bedroom with double bed. On the terrace you will find two sun loungers and a dining area.
Tip from La Taha
Visit the nearby village of Pampaneira, and be sure to drop by the Fabrica de Caramelos (candy factory). In this shop, delicious sweets and chocolate are produced by hand. Pure flavours, fair prices and very tasty!
Remarks
• Vista and Patio can also be rented together. For 2 couples who want to go on holiday together, but also want to have their own space; ideal!
• Hiking guides and hiking maps available for guests.
• If you wish, the owners will cook a delicious meal for you which can be served on the terrace. To celebrate a special occasion or simply to enjoy it.
• From this holiday home it is about 1 hour and 45 minutes drive to the airport of Almeria (LEI). • Granada (GRX) is 1.5 hours away and Malaga (AGP) is 2.5 hours away.

Voor ons op alle punten 'uitstekend'
Kortom perfect en een zeer welkom gevoel.
Superschoon en overzichtelijk.
Mooi uitzicht en een heerlijk terras direct naast het huis gelegen zonder trappen etc. Mooie wandelingen gemaakt zowel vanuit het huis als vanuit dichtbijgelegen dorpen zoals Bubiòn en Busquistar. Goede douche met een lekkere warme en harde straal. We hebben héérlijk kunnen slapen, geen muggen of vliegen in de slaapkamer gezien! Heel goede gastheren; vriendelijk, behulpzaam en bescheiden.
Voor ons de ideale plek in de winter.
Goede kachel en vloerverwarming. Heerlijk terras met mooie uitzichten. En dan af en toe lekker verwend worden door kookkunsten van gastheren. Veel informatie over wandeltochten aanwezig.
Zeer rustgevend.
Sfeervol en goed ingericht huis. Gezellig terras met zitstoelen, tafel en ligbedden. Heel mooi uitzicht op de bergen. Goede keuken, compleet met olie, azijn, kruiden, thee, wasmiddel etc. Eigenaren hebben heerlijk gekookt voor ons.
Geweldige verblijfsplek voor onze vakantie.
Goed sanitair en prima verzorgde keuken. Het gebied erg afwisselend, prachtige dorpen, natuur, ideaal wandelgebied voor ons. Centraal gelegen voor mooie wandelingen in de Alpujarras (ook in januari!)
