Colodro is part of an old cortijo, the owners live in the left part, the very creative couple is happy to let you enjoy their paradise in the countryside of Andalusia. She was a furniture designer in a previous life, he is super handy and that is reflected in the very well-maintained holiday home and the amazing garden. Everything in and around the house is the result of loving manual labor and upcycling. For example, they have made the terrace with the dining area in front of the house from old pellets and stones that they found in the olive grove. The works of art and paintings are also by the hand of the former furniture designer, many of the works of art are for sale for a few euros.

The entire right flank of the cortijo is at your disposal, and the incredibly beautiful swimming pool with sun terrace can be used completely privately during your stay in Colodro. If you feel like a chat or a drink with the friendly owners, they are certainly open to it. If not, no problem, they fully respect your privacy.

Surroundings of Colodro

Nearest village is Cabra, this town has large supermarkets and several bars and restaurants. The center of Cabra is known for its boutiques and beautiful architecture. The royal city of Cordoba can be reached within an hour by car, Malaga is about an hour and a half away. Holiday home Colodro is located in the heart of a nature park Subbetica, with plenty of hiking opportunities. If desired, the owner of Colodro will gladly take you for a morning walk to get to know the beautiful surroundings, you will be guaranteed to spot eagles.

Description of Colodro

This holiday home is very cute and colorfully decorated with mainly refurbished furniture. Do not expect luxury, but you will want for nothing. You enter holiday home Colodro in the spacious kitchen, which also contains a seating area. A dining area for 4 people, a 5-burner gas stove and a gas heater for cooler evenings. On the ground floor there is 1 bedroom with a double bed (1.5 x 2 meters).

On the upper floor a bathroom with hip bath/shower combination, toilet and large sink. A double room on either side of the landing. 1 with two single beds and a more spacious room with a double bed. All rooms overlook the garden at the front with the large swimming pool at the back. In front of the front door is a terrace with dining area for 6 people, a seating area with comfortable sofa and 4 chairs. The large pool also has a seating area and 6 sun loungers + parasol on the sun terrace.

Tip from La Taha

The owner of Colodro is a certified yoga teacher. A few mornings a week she teaches yoga on the beach of Iznajar, a half hour drive from the holiday home, a very nice experience in a beautiful setting. If desired, she will also be happy to give you a private lesson on the terrace in front of your holiday home.
