La Mesita is a fantastic holiday spot for lovers of panoramic views. From the front terrace you overlook the valley with the rugged mountain ranges of the Sierra de Tejeda beyond. This detached holiday home is located in the middle of nature between the villages of Colmenar and Comares.

La Mesita is a fantastic holiday spot for lovers of panoramic views. From the front terrace you overlook the valley with the rugged mountain ranges of the Sierra de Tejeda beyond. This detached holiday home is located in the middle of nature between the villages of Colmenar and Comares. La Mesita is located at an altitude of 700m on a hill with olive trees, almond trees and many other trees and shrubs. La Mesita is located a short distance from the house La Vieja, of the owner. This house is not rented out. Because the holiday home is located slightly higher on the hill with a garden area, you have all the privacy you could wish for. La Mesita is an ideal holiday home to retreat to with a stack of books, to paint, to finally finish that novel or simply to enjoy the view and the surroundings.
It is a light house with antique doors and many windows, a warm interior and nice lamps. If you can’t sit outside for a day because of the weather, it is also wonderful to stay inside with the woodburner on. The last kilometer to La Mesita is a partly unpaved, steep road. Thanks to the plunge pool, it is a good place to stay during the warm Andalusian summer days.
Surroundings La Mesita
Colmenar is a 20 minute drive. This lively village has restaurants and everything else you need. The other village, Comares, can be seen from La Mesita on a hilltop and is a typical Andalusian village with nice bars and restaurants. From villages such as Comares and Alfarnatejo, marked hiking trails lead into nature. From Colmenar you reach the highway towards Malaga – or further into Andalusia – within 15 minutes. You are in Granada in 1.5 hours and at the coast in less than 1 hour.

Living room with seating area by the wood burner. Open kitchen with dining table. Bedroom with 2 single beds placed together. Bathroom en-suite with shower, sink and toilet.
Remarks
• Due to the height differences around the house, La Mesita is less suitable for small children.
• If you arrive later than 20:00, you pay an extra €30.
• Dimensions of the plunge pool are 2 x 1.80 meters.
• The access road, the last 500 meters to the house, is a very steep gravel path! Be wary of this, also with regard to the car you rent.
• Nearest airport is Malaga (AGP) about 50 minutes away.

Een zeer steile toegangsweg!
Het huis is mooi gelegen qua uitzicht maar moeilijk bereikbaar (een zeer steile toegangsweg). Voor ons geen probleem maar niet iedereen zal dit erg relaxed vinden. Ook is het echt 20 minuten rijden naar de dichtstbijzijnde (kleine) plaats en supermarkt. De routebeschrijving naar het huis was onduidelijk en klopte op onderdelen niet meer (supermarkt is nu een Eroski bijvoorbeeld). We zijn wel goed opgevangen door de hostess. Het huis is eenvoudig ingericht en er is een sobere keuken en badkamer. Maar alles werkt en we misten niks. En het uitzicht is prachtig!!
La Mesita ligt prachtig
Elke dag is het uitzicht anders… weersomstandigheden, bewolking…. Met de contactpersoon hadden we direct contact. We vonden elkaar in de supermarkt. Ze is goed te bereiken. Door een onweer hadden we ook enkele technische problemen en ze heeft onmiddellijk de juiste personen gecontacteerd om herstellingen uit te voeren.
Een feestje
Fantastisch mooi en erg sfeervol ingericht huisje! Beste uitzicht wat je je ooit kunt wensen! En erg fijne tuin/terras.

Het uitzicht is overweldigend mooi en steeds veranderend in de loop van de dag, zodat je blijft kijken, prachtig! Heel goede ontvangst. De gastvrouw vond het erg belangrijk dat de huurders zich volledig konden concentreren op hun ‘vakantie’.
We hebben een mooie vakantie gehad.
Mooi huis dat meer dan voldeed aan de verwachtingen zowel qua inrichting als locatie. Verhuurder had prima rekening gehouden met extra wensen (kinderbedje en -stoel). Dorpen Colmenar en Comares zijn heerlijk ingeslapen Spaanse dorpen. Onze algemene waardering is zeer goed. Niets is ons tegengevallen, het probleem met de kachel werd zeer snel en netjes opgelost. Al met al een goede indruk, we zullen het zeker aanbevelen. Heel hartelijk bedankt, we hebben een mooie vakantie gehad.
Perfect verzorgd.
Perfect verzorgd, zowel qua sfeer als qua netheid. Een terras met veel aandacht voor begroeiing en sfeerelementen. Ook veel aandacht besteed aan het bestrijden van mieren in huis. Dat was erg prettig en effectief!
