El Cortijo de Pedro is an attractive house on the outskirts of Nijar with a beautiful garden with palm, fig, fruit and olive trees and flowering shrubs. Many terraces around the house for any time of the day.
Description of holiday home El Cortijo de Pedro
The terrace by the kitchen with dining table is a wonderful place to eat in the shade of the grapevines. Sun or shade can be found on the nearby larger terrace. There is also a small paddling pool here: ideal for children. And the front terrace to see the sun rise. Furtheron in the garden, there’s a staircase to reach a water basin on a higher level that can be used as a swimming pool from early June to early October. Guidance is necessary for children here. And then the roof terraces to enjoy the falling of the evening or the starry sky. From all these places beautiful and unobstructed views of the valley and the mountains.
This old cortijo was renovated in 2020 with a great eye to detail; it is homely and beautiful. The living room has a spacious sitting and dining area with wood burner and fireplace. From the lounge, a few steps lead to a well-fitted kitchen and study with adjoining bedroom and bathroom. This bedroom is ideal for the hottest days of the year; dark and cool. On the top floor are two more bedrooms with air conditioning and 2 bathrooms. From where the roof terraces can also be reached. Drinking water in this holiday home is purified by an osmosis filter and hot water is generated with solar energy. Fiber optic WiFi completes this home.
Surroundings El Cortijo de Pedro
Only 5 minutes walk from the center of Nijar, a lively village with shops, a few restaurants and bars. A mule track leads from Nijar to the small hamlet of Huebro, which leads past several old water mills from the Moorish era. From Nijar, the beaches of the Cabo de Gata Natural Park and the city of Almeria can be reached in 30 minutes by car. The last hundred meters to the house is via a fairly narrow road through part of the village. It is possible to park the car close to the house, but there is also a large parking lot at the beginning of the village.

Ground floor: living room with sieating area and dining table, two steps lead to kitchen with small table and study with table. Small bedroom (9 m2) with 1 double bed (1.35 m wide). Bathroom with bath, toilet and sink.
1st floor: two bedrooms, one with a double bed and adjoining terrace, the other with 2 single beds. Two bathrooms with shower, toilet and sink. Access to second roof terrace.
Remarks
– Nearest airport is Almeria (LEI), this is a fairly small airport. Alicante airport (ALC) is 3 hours away, this also applies to Malaga (AGP).
– Two bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning.

Alles werkelijk prima
Ontvangst uiterst hartelijk, Pedro is een aangename en charmante gastheer. Je voelt je meteen thuis in het huis, authentiek opgeknapt met oog voor hedendaags comfort en vooral persoonlijke elementen/details overal terug te vinden.
Prachtig en comfortabel
Huis was reeds bekend van eerder bezoek; is prachtig, comfortabel, lekker grote terrassen, fijn zwembad, etc. Ontvangst: ook bekende routine. Attente beheerster. En fijn, zo’n korte schoonmaak halverwege de veertiendaagse logeerpartij.
Jullie service is heel goed
Het huis en met name de tuin vonden wij prachtig. We hebben genoten van de mooie palmen en andere subtropische bomen. Overal zitjes, in of uit de zon: perfect! Fraai uitzicht vanaf het dakterras. Nijar is een klein, authentiek dorp, precies waar wij behoefte aan hadden. Op 30 km afstand de fantastische kusten van Cabo de Gata. De ontvangst was hartelijk. Wij hebben niets gemist: het huis is zeer compleet ingericht. Een sfeervol interieur. De open haard en houtkachel maken het ook op koudere avonden comfortabel. Als je met een auto naar dit huis gaat, moet je wel wat ervaring hebben met het rijden in smalle straatjes. Het vraagt wel enige handigheid bij het parkeren. Wij zijn nu drie keer in een huis van Taha geweest en zijn daar zeer tevreden over!

Het was voor ons de 4e keer dat we hier verbleven en wij vinden het er SUPER!

Net zoals andere jaren fantastisch huis, prachtige ligging en mooie omgeving!
De eigenaar is zeer vriendelijk en servicegericht
Het huis is recent gerenoveerd en voldoet in alle opzichten. Mooie slaapkamers, meerdere douches, toilet en goede keuken. Huis is smaakvol ingericht. Tevens veel ruimte buiten en terrassen. Leuk dorpje op loopafstand. Strand is binnen 25 min te rijden. Zijn hier in het verleden al aantal keren geweest en is nog steeds een fantastisch locatie.
Fantastisch!
“Pedro” is een heel erg joviale man, het huis is ronduit schitterend, helemaal in Spaanse stijl. De tuin romantisch, en voor elk uur van de dag een terrasje. We zijn al enkele malen met La Taha op reis geweest en hebben al elke keer een heerlijk verblijf gehad. Alles tiptop in orde! Pluim voor de organisatie!
Super goed.
Eigenaar was erg aardig en behulpzaam. Het huis was fantastisch en heel stijlvol ingericht. Een prachtige grote tuin met veel fruitbomen waarvan het fruit heerlijk was! Omgeving is prachtig (door het gebied van de tuinderijen moet je maar even snel doorrijden). Nijar is leuk, echt Spaans en de kust (half uurtje rijden) is prachtig. Veel mooie ongerepte baaien. Alles was zeer compleet. Houtkachel was heerlijk voor de wat koude avonden. Heel goed. Is al de 3e keer dat we via La Taha hebben geboekt. Alle 3 tophuizen.
Mooie en grote tuin met veel privacy en mooie planten.
We waren enkele jaren geleden ook al eens in dit huis geweest, en nu teruggekomen omdat het toen goed beviel. En dat was weer het geval. Vriendelijke ontvangst door de contactpersoon, alles wat we nodig hadden was er en het was schoon. Voldoende hout voor de houtkachel die elke avond gebrand heeft, want het was nog wel fris in Zuid-Spanje in april.

Zowel het huis (heel compleet) de omgeving en de ontvangst. Rechtstreeks op Almeria vliegen was heel prettig. Op de website is het soms lastig zoeken, het aanbod is erg groot geworden, maar na 1 telefoontje voor advies waren we er snel uit met een heerlijke vakantie als resultaat.
