With a coastline of 554 kilometers and a total of 23 marinas, Mallorca offers anything and everything in the field of water sports. Wind and kite surfing (especially in the north near Alcudia), snorkeling, deep-sea diving, water skiing, sailing and fishing. Furthermore, the island is a paradise for lovers of hiking, mountain biking, cycling, climbing and horse riding. And golf players will also get their money’s worth.

In the northern bays of Alcúdia and Puerto Pollensa you will find wide sandy beaches and many water sports facilities. On the road from Puerto Pollensa to Cap de Formentor there are numerous small beaches, hidden between the rock formations and forests. These idyllic spots on the azure blue sea can sometimes only be reached on foot. Therefore they are often much less crowded than the more accessible beaches. Cala San Vicente has three different smaller bays with beautiful sandy beaches. More to the east towards Capdepera you will find several quiet bays with sandy beach on the north side. Including Cala Mesquida.

Daredevils can take a strenuous but fantastic hike in the Torrent de Pareis Natural Park. From restaurant Escorca, the eight-kilometer descent through an impressive gorge begins to the Torrent de Pareis. These are two impressive rocks in a bay with a sandy beach. You can also get there from Port de Sóller by boat or by car down the winding road to Cala de sa Calobra. From the car park a path leads through the rocks to the Torrent de Parreis and the beach.

The capital Palma is definitely worth a visit with the old town ‘casco antiguo’ and the beautiful 13th century cathedral ‘La Seu’. The church is famous for one of the world’s largest rose windows.
